About Us
Thundering Hill Farm is woman owned and operated.
It All Started as a Dream...
Thundering Hill Farm started with a pair of Dutch rabbits named Flopsy and Mopsy and a small 4H project that has expanded to what it is today.
Currently hay based with a growing pasture poultry faction, Thundering Hill Farm has been slowly growing over the last few years to include more products and services.
2019 Thundering Hill Farm moved to its Perryopolis Location.
Stay tuned for more updates as we finish up projects this year to move into the new year.

Stormy Leigh
Owner-Operator
Stormy is the Owner-Operator of Thundering Hill Farm. She started Thundering Hill Farm when she was in 4-H with meat rabbits. Stormy grew up in foster care and group homes. Her senior year of high school she found some amazing foster parents that allowed her to continue her love of agriculture and rabbits. In the summers, she would help local farmers bale hay. When they could no longer afford to pay cash, she would accept payment in hay and sell the extra hay she did not need for her goats and rabbits. Her rabbits won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Meat Rabbits at the Westmoreland Fair and was entered into the Sale of Champions. The proceeds from their sale bought Stormy's first truck and hay trailer.
Slowly she started taking over leased properties, buying her own trucks and equipment, and running more of the forage production side vs. delivery and marketing and grew into the new location in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania where she grows her own forages and hays and sells them delivered, stacked in the barn.
In addition to farming, she has 3 beautiful children, a couple cattle dogs, a few ranch horses, and loves Hereford cows . She also likes to go to the local demolition derbies with her significant other.

Sustainable Farming with a Mission
10% of all the income and sales are donated to local charity and local causes.
In addition to charity donations, Thundering Hill Farm strives to save distressed farms and protect retiring farmers. Thundering Hill Farm has been partnering up with local farmers in the area that need help around the farm and offering solutions to allow farmers to live out their lives on their farms.
Thundering Hill Farm has also been working on providing fresh, local sourced food to low income families in and around the Pittsburgh area. The project is still in its infancy but with the expanding hay business sales Thundering Hill Farm has been able to do more locally to help families. This year they would like to offer cooking classes, holiday boxes with recipe cards, and expand their youtube channel to teach families the lost art of cooking.
To keep these projects running, it requires financial backing. We have completed AgBiz Masters to more effectively manage the farm and network with other young and beginning farmers. Thundering Hill Farm prices their products competitively, but sustainable, to keep these projects running.
Please feel free to contact Thundering Hill Farm about any of the giving projects. Thundering Hill Farm is always looking for more opportunities to expand and help others.
